Hired as Corporate Event Musician on Marco Island

I often get hired as a soloist (corporate event musician) providing live music for corporate events in Southwest Florida (SWFL). Recently I had the opportunity to perform at a beautiful event for a group of veterinarians visiting from across the United States at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort.

The event featured a relaxed cocktail hour overlooking the Gulf, where guests were arriving, grabbing drinks, and reconnecting after traveling in for their conference. My role as an acoustic guitarist and solo performer was to create a warm background soundtrack while guests settled in and enjoyed the setting.

For this performance, I played a mix of acoustic songs from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Those decades always work well for corporate gatherings because the music feels familiar without being overpowering. Guests can recognize the songs, smile, and still comfortably hold conversations during the cocktail hour.

Events like this are a great example of why live acoustic music works so well for corporate events in SWFL. A solo guitar performance adds energy and atmosphere without taking over the room. It simply helps set the tone while people relax, network, and enjoy the evening.
